HCMC – Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (NSRP), which meets 30-35% of the domestic fuel demand, has begun a period of downtime starting today, August 25, for comprehensive maintenance.
The 55-day maintenance will encompass the cleaning and inspection of over 3,300 pieces of equipment.
Approximately 5,000 experts from technology licensing firms, manufacturers, and related fields will be actively engaged in the maintenance process.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has directed prominent enterprises to proactively assess the projected petroleum product shortage during NSRP’s maintenance, with the aim of devising a strategy to avert potential disruptions or supply chain interruptions.
The ministry has also told the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), and relevant entities to maintain the regular domestic fuel supply.
