HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has announced official assignments to his five deputy PMs, with Nguyen Hoa Binh taking on the role of Permanent Deputy PM.
Permanent Deputy PM Binh will assume responsibility for various critical government functions, including economic planning, business development, social issues, and governance.
In addition to overseeing key ministries such as Planning and Investment, Home Affairs, and Government Inspectorate, Binh will also represent the prime minister when necessary.
The other deputy PMs have also been given specific areas of oversight. Among their assigned tasks, Deputy PM Tran Hong Ha is in charge of infrastructure, natural resources, and agriculture, while Deputy PM Le Thanh Long oversees law, education and social welfare.
Ho Duc Phoc, deputy PM and minister of Finance, is in charge of finance, banking, and information technology. Deputy PM Bui Thanh Son, who is also minister of Foreign Affairs, handles Vietnam’s international relations, trade, and industry.
The changes in cabinet leadership come after the 15th National Assembly approved the appointments of Binh, Phoc, and Son as Deputy PMs during its eighth extraordinary session held on August 26.
