Nhon-Hanoi metro line serves over 390,000 passengers in first week

HCMC – The newly launched Nhon-Hanoi Station metro line transported more than 393,000 passengers during the first week of its operation, from August 8 to 14, according to data from Hanoi Metro Co., Ltd.

On its opening day, August 8, the urban rail line handled 37,200 passengers. The following days saw an increase, with daily ridership ranging from 52,000 to 66,000 passengers. Notably, on August 11, the number of passengers surged to 100,515.

The Nhon-Hanoi Station metro line covers a total distance of 12.5 kilometers, though currently, only the 8.5-kilometer elevated section, stretching from Nhon Station in Bac Tu Liem District to Cau Giay Station, is operational.

The remaining four kilometers, which run underground from Cau Giay District to Hanoi Station in Dong Da District, are still under construction.

Passengers can enjoy free rides during the first 15 days of the metro line’s commercial operation.
