BARSON has concluded its “Nights of the Best” guest shift series, closing the year with a festive-season highlight featuring Yakoboku, a Japanese bar ranked among the Top 25 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025.
The collaboration took place over two guest shift nights on December 12 and 13, during which BARSON recreated Yakoboku’s signature concept of “night fragrance.” Yakoboku is housed in a 150-year-old wooden building in Kumamoto and is known for a minimalist approach inspired by the night-blooming jasmine, emphasizing aromatic depth and restrained expression.
Leading the event was Kento Kamiguchi, head bartender of Yakoboku and a Top 10 finalist at the Diageo World Class Japan 2024. Kamiguchi presented a selection of cocktails highlighting precise flavor control and the nuanced use of local ingredients, reflecting the bar’s understated style.
According to BARSON, guests responded positively to the refined balance of scent and flavor, as well as the intimate atmosphere that characterized the two-night event, marking a fitting conclusion to the series.
