No distance required for passengers on public vehicles in HCMC’s low-risk areas

HCMC – According to the HCMC Department of Transport, in areas at low risk of Covid transmission, passengers who use public transport services will not need to maintain a distance.

In moderate-risk areas, public transport vehicles are allowed to operate if they meet the criteria for safety in the prevention and control of Covid-19 and maintain a safe physical distance between passengers.

In high-risk areas, public transport service providers can operate with no more than 50% of regular trips or arrange no more than 50% of vehicles, except for vehicles for transporting patients or other purposes under the instructions of the Department of Transport.

Apart from complying with Covid safety protocols, public transport vehicles can transport no more than 50% of capacity.
