HCMC – Novaland, whose NVL shares are traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, has named Duong Van Bac as deputy general director and chief financial officer, reported the local media.
Bac holds a Master’s degree in Economics of Banking and Finance (MEBF) from CFVG, with over 17 years of experience in finance and real estate.
He has held various senior management positions in the fields of finance, M&A, and real estate project development. Since August 2023, he has been serving as chief financial officer at Novaland.
Novaland is currently focused on implementing and completing key housing projects, aiming to deliver 2,600 units in the second half of 2024.
The real estate developer is also negotiating with banks and financial institutions to raise new capital, as well as working closely with local authorities to resolve and finalize the legal aspects of ongoing projects.
Closing the trading session today, September 6, NVL rose 0.39% to VND13,900, with around 9.1 million shares changing hands.
On the southern bourse, the recovery of blue-chip stocks has helped the VN-Index regain its upward momentum after two consecutive correction sessions.
With 192 stocks advancing and 212 others declining, the VN-Index added 5.75 points, or 0.45%, against yesterday’s session, at 1,273.96 points.
Around 637 million shares worth VND15.5 trillion were traded on bourse, down by 4.3% in volume and 6.65% in value compared to the previous session. Block deal transactions accounted for VND3.3 trillion.
The VN30 basket performed more positively, closing with a rise of nearly 6.5 points, as 22 stocks gained and only six declined.
Notable gainers included MSN, up 2.6%; PLX and VRE, both up 2%; and GVR, up 1.8%. BID made the biggest positive impact on the index, with a 1.2% increase.
HPG took the lead by liquidity on the market, with 22.85 million shares transacted. It increased by 1.4% day-on-day to VND25,400.
On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index lost 0.31 point, or 0.13% against yesterday, at 234.65 points, with 69 winners and 74 losers. The total trade volume reached 43.75 million shares, valued at VND825.36 billion.
