HCMC – HCMC today, April 1, introduced 239 brand-new transit buses serving commuters on 16 routes.
Equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning, route surveillance, security cameras, and ticketing systems, these new buses will help enhance the public transportation experience for passengers.
Out of the 239 buses, 195 run on diesel, while 44 utilize compressed natural gas, contributing to cleaner and more sustainable public transit in the city.
Saigon Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company manages five routes, while FUTA Bus Lines is in charge of 11 routes, ensuring comprehensive coverage across the city.
Fares for these subsidized routes range from VND5,000 to VND7,000, depending on travel distance.
HCMC now has over 120 operational public transit routes, with 90 of them subsidized and managed by transportation companies.
