HCMC – The State Treasury reported that over half of the funds, nearly VND5.7 trillion, had been disbursed to citizens under the Government’s Resolution 263, which offers cash gifts to all Vietnamese to mark the 80th anniversaries of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

To ensure the National Day gift of VND100,000 per person reached citizens before September 2, the State Treasury requested its units to assign civil servants, including senior officials, to work throughout the holiday period from August 30 to September 2, according to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA).

The State Treasury stressed that payments must be delivered to the right recipients, under the right policy, and within the stipulated timeframe.

Preliminary figures showed that as of 1:30 p.m. on August 31, 1,929 out of 3,321 communes had received funds and distributed the gift to citizens, with nearly VND5.7 trillion already disbursed. This amount accounted for 53.15% of the projected total of over VND10.700 trillion.

Reports indicated that 11 out of 34 provinces and cities had completed fund withdrawals and gift distributions, with disbursement rates exceeding 92% of communes and allocated funds. Among them, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, and Quang Tri achieved 100% distribution across all communes.

Several other localities were close to completion, such as Danang (91/94 communes), Ha Tinh (65/69), Lai Chau (37/38), Lang Son (60/65), Lao Cai (96/99), Nghe An (127/130), Quang Ninh (51/54), and Thanh Hoa (163/166).
