HCMC – Local carriers advised passengers to regularly check their flight schedules as the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCMC has suspended the operations of one runway until April 30.
The closure could affect the departure and arrival times of many flights. Accordingly, passengers should stay updated about the flight schedule via phone or email for any possible changes, especially during peak hours, said local carriers Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways and Vietjet Air.
To minimize the impact of the runway shutdown, national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has teamed up with the relevant units at the airport to optimize its flight schedule, ensuring its flights take off and land on time.
Earlier, to serve the maintenance and upgrade of the runway, the national aviation authority had reduced the number of flights to and from the airport to 30 per hour between February 21 and April 30.
