On August 18, 2025, the Hau Giang Innovation Services Center (ISC Hau Giang) reaffirmed its commitment to the development of technology talent through its philanthropic initiatives. These activities, in collaboration with various partners, include short-term courses that effectively bridge the gap between theory and practice in the field of Information Technology. The culmination of this effort was marked by the graduation ceremony of the second Backend Programming Training Course and the third Job Day 2025, held in Vi Thanh Ward, Can Tho City.
Practical training model: Learning through real-world application
Lam Nguyen Hai Long, executive chairman of ISC, highlighted the importance of aligning education with the demands of the modern technological landscape: “The rapid advancement of AI and Industry 4.0 calls for a harmonious integration of theory and practice in the learning process. This approach not only prepares students for the challenges ahead but also fosters continuous innovation and improvement.”
The course was sponsored by the LVTECH–Saigon Times Foundation and organized in partnership with leading institutions including FPT Polytechnic Can Tho, Alta Software, and VNFOCUS Communications Corporation. Designed to strengthen Vietnam’s tech workforce, the program not only equips students with essential programming skills but also connects them directly to job opportunities through strong industry partnerships.
The 12-week training program, designed under the “learning by doing” model, saw 33 participants successfully complete the course and receive graduation certificates. Throughout the program, trainees were fully sponsored with tuition fees and directly engaged in real software projects commissioned by businesses. Beyond strengthening technical knowledge, the initiative also fostered teamwork, independent thinking, and problem-solving skills essential for today’s workplace.
Le Tran Kha, a graduate representative, shared their experience: “Completing the capstone project allowed us to strengthen our teamwork, learn to listen, and support each other. This certificate represents not the end, but the beginning of our careers.”
Tech companies value young talent
A total of seven technology companies participated in recruitment interviews during the event, including Agest Vietnam, Wavenet, Soluis, RainScales Vietnam, Phalanx Services, and Kyanon Digital. These companies emphasized their expansion plans in Vietnam and commended ISC’s efforts in training talent that aligns with the demands of the labor market.
Chris Bryson, chief operations officer of Soluis Group, noted, “We chose to establish an office in Vietnam because of the world-class talent available here. Soft skills, especially English proficiency, are crucial for students to succeed in a global workplace. Those who are confident in their English skills are invited to explore internship and international project opportunities with us.”

Phuong Huynh, chief strategy officer of RainScales Vietnam, discussed her company’s developments in automation and computer vision solutions across various sectors. She shared that RainScales, with centers in Danang, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City, is now seeking to expand into the Mekong Delta to tap into local talent. The company also highlighted international job opportunities for qualified candidates in their offices in Japan and the United States.

ISC Hau Giang: Expanding opportunities for “Tech Talent” in the region
At the event, Lam Nguyen Hai Long underscored the importance of business collaboration in these training programs, which not only provide students with career opportunities but also meet the needs of companies seeking skilled employees. “We hope today’s graduates will soon join the tech workforce at ISC Hau Giang and our partner companies,” he stated.
Long also emphasized that these programs create an environment where students can apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios, bridging the gap between education and employment. This initiative contributes not only to the growth of the IT sector but also fosters innovation and creativity, benefiting the broader community in the Mekong Delta region.
ISC Hau Giang is committed to continuing and expanding its Frontend and Backend training courses to further diversify the region’s technology workforce. The center, located at the Hau Giang Digital Technology Park in Vi Thanh Ward (in former Hau Giang Province), is built to “Green – Smart” standards, integrating environmental sensors, smart water meters, AI-powered cameras, solar energy, wastewater reuse, and organic waste treatment technology. It provides an ideal environment for students, startups, and technology organizations to study, research, and innovate.
