HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked the contractors of the My Thuan 2 Bridge project to study and shorten the construction time of the bridge, while still ensuring the overall quality of the project.
The prime minister visited the construction site of My Thuan 2 Bridge and roads leading to the bridge on November 23.
Apart from highly valuing the investor, contractors and management board of the project for their efforts to ensure the progress of the construction, PM Chinh said that it is necessary to shorten the remaining time of construction. Contractors must mobilize more workers to complete the project as soon as possible, he added.
Dinh Cong Minh, director of the Project 7 Management Board, which is the investor in the project, said that the total value of construction and installation for the project has reached over VND2.1 trillion, meeting 65.4% of the contract value and exceeding the target by 2.15%.
All the pillars of the bridge will be completed in December, while work on the main span of the cable-stayed bridge will be completed in October 2023, the local media reported.
The bridge project is set to be completed in late December 2023, according to the investor.
The 6.6-kilometer-long My Thuan 2 Bridge project, part of the eastern North-South expressway project, will be connected to the Trung Luong-My Thuan and My Thuan-Can Tho expressways.
