HCMC – The police of HCMC, the country’s largest city by population, on October 27 announced that they have cracked down on a large-scale drug trafficking ring from Cambodia to the city, seizing 100 kilograms of synthetic drugs, including 12,000 ecstasy pills, 32 packs of heroin and other related equipment and vehicles serving the illegal activity.
After collecting sufficient evidence and inspecting the operation of the ring, the municipal police in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security and police in Tay Ninh Province on October 22 arrested 15 suspects involved in the ring.
The police are expanding the investigation into the case.
