HCMC – The Politburo has announced several senior personnel changes, including new appointments for the Supreme People’s Court, the Hanoi City Party Committee, the Party Committee of the National Assembly, and Party Central Committee agencies.
At a ceremony on November 4, Party General Secretary To Lam handed a Politburo decision assigning Le Minh Tri, secretary of the Party Central Committee and chief justice of the Supreme People’s Court, to the position of permanent deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs.
Le Minh Tri, born in 1960 in HCMC, holds degrees in people’s security and law. He is currently a member of the 13th Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and has served as a National Assembly deputy in the 14th and 15th tenures. Before assuming the post of chief justice, he had held several positions in the Ministry of Public Security and the HCMC Police Department.

At another event held the same day at the National Assembly House, Party General Secretary To Lam attended the ceremony to announce the Politburo’s decision assigning Do Van Chien, Politburo member, secretary of the Party Central Committee, and chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, as standing deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly for the 2020-2025 tenure, replacing Nguyen Khac Dinh.
As a result, the Politburo relieved Nguyen Khac Dinh, member of the Party Central Committee and vice chairman of the 15th National Assembly, from his position as permanent deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly.

Meanwhile, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member and secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, was assigned to join the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee and serve as secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations.

Also on November 4, the Hanoi City Party Committee held a meeting to announce a Politburo decision assigning Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Politburo member, secretary of the Party Central Committee, and chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, as secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 tenure.

In a related development, Nguyen Van Quang, member of the Party Central Committee and permanent deputy inspector general of the Government Inspectorate, was appointed secretary of the Party Committee of the Supreme People’s Court for the 2025-2030 term, replacing Le Minh Tri who earlier took up the post of permanent deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs.
The appointment decision was handed over by Tran Cam Tu, permanent member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee and secretary of the Party Committee of Central Agencies.
