HCMC – The Politburo and the Secretariat have announced the appointments of Nguyen Manh Cuong as deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s (PCC) External Relations Commission and Vo Thanh Hung as deputy head of the PCC Office.
The External Relations Commission this morning, November 20, held a conference to announce the Politburo’s appointment of Nguyen Manh Cuong, secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Phuoc Province, as its new deputy head.
The decision was made based on recommendations from the PCC’s Organization Commission and relevant agencies, in line with the Party’s regulations, said Le Hoai Trung, secretary of the PCC and head of the External Relations Commission.
Cuong, 51, a native of Nghe An Province, is a seasoned diplomat with over two decades of experience in foreign affairs. He previously served as deputy head of the commission from 2018 to 2021.
Later on the same day, the PCC Office held a function to announce the Secretariat’s personnel decision, presided over by Nguyen Duy Ngoc, secretary of the PCC and head of the PCC Office.
Vo Thanh Hung, who currently serves as deputy minister of Finance, will assume the position of deputy head of the PCC Office.
Hung, also 51 years old and a native of Nghe An Province, is a highly experienced official with a proven track record of success in various positions.
