Mui Treo captivates visitors with its serene and untouched beauty, where nature paints a breathtaking picture with dense green forests on one side and the endless ocean stretching as far as the eye can see on the other.
Situated about 40 kilometers north of Dong Ha City, this coastal headland in Vinh Kim Commune, Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province, offers a stunning blend of forest and sea that remains largely untouched by tourism.

In recent years, Mui Treo has gained popularity among young Vietnamese travelers, especially backpackers drawn to remote and unspoiled destinations. The charm of Mui Treo lies in its pristine landscape and tranquil atmosphere. On one side, lush green hills stretch endlessly. On the other side, the vast blue sea sparkles under the sun. It is this contrast that creates a unique and peaceful retreat for those eager to escape the hustle of daily life.
Mui Treo is known for its cliff that rises 25 to 30 meters above sea level. From the top, visitors are rewarded with sweeping views of the coastline. The name “Mui Treo” comes from this distinctive rocky outcrop that juts dramatically into the sea. Below, waves roll gently onto a stretch of white sand. From the cliff, visitors can admire the endless ocean, soft white sands, and calm waves.

The area also offers wide open spaces, making it an ideal spot for camping and enjoying the fresh air. Travelers can find a flat patch of land by the sea to pitch a tent, then gather with friends for an evening filled with beach barbecues, grilled seafood, and laughter around a campfire.
Because the site is not yet developed for tourism, travelers are advised to bring their own food, drinks, and camping gear. Most importantly, they should take care to leave no trace—clean up, take away trash, and help protect the environment.
Nearby attractions include Cua Tung Beach, Vinh Moc Tunnels, and Mui Lay, offering plenty to explore for those who want to extend their stay.
