HCMC – PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation, or PTSC, has welcomed a Singaporean Government delegation to visit its facility in Vung Tau City and discuss their renewable energy export project.
The delegation, which came to PTSC’s facility yesterday, March 4, comprises representatives from the Singaporean Embassy in Hanoi, the Singaporean Consulate General in HCMC, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Energy Market Authority (EMA), and Sembcorp Utilities (SCU).
During the working trip, the delegation had the opportunity to visit ROV workshop and PTSC’s port, observing PTSC’s cutting-edge infrastructure, facilities, and equipment dedicated to serving offshore renewable energy projects worldwide, including the multinational energy project involving Vietnam and Singapore.
This strengthens the Singaporean side’s confidence in choosing Vietnam as the ultimate destination for importing around 4GW of renewable electricity by 2030, with PTSC as the co-investor and project developer.
At the working session, PTSC and Sembcorp Utilities outlined a specific roadmap for surveying, investment planning, and developing offshore wind farms in Vietnam to produce and export approximately 1.2GW of clean electricity from Vietnam to Singapore in the coming time.
Additionally, Singaporean government agencies affirmed their continued support for PTSC and its partners in the project implementation process. This not only helps Singapore achieve its goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050 but also strengthens the digital economy–green economy partnerships between the two countries.
