HCMC – PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power), which is listed on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange under stock code POW, reported around VND1.79 trillion in revenue in August, down 22% year-on-year.
PV Power’s total electricity production reached an estimated 612 million kWh last month, down by 52% compared to the previous month.
In the year to date, PV Power has made around VND19.9 trillion in revenue, up 7% over the same period last year, and reaching nearly 66% of the full-year target, according to the announcement of the company.
Closing the trading session today, September 8, POW inched down by 0.39% to VND12,850, with over 10.4 million shares changing hands.
Regarding the stock market, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange inched down by 1.66 points, or 0.13%, over yesterday’s session, at 1,241.48 points, with 254 winners and 252 losers.
Trade volume totaled nearly 1.1 billion shares worth VND26.3 trillion, down 2.64% in volume and up 6.32% in value against the previous day. Over 124.3 million shares worth VND3.6 trillion were transacted in block deals.
The VN30 group was the main factor that drove the VN-Index down, with 12 stocks gaining and 17 declining. Among them, the three stocks of Vingroup all dropped by over 2%.
VIC was among the top five stocks with the highest liquidity today with around 28.22 million shares transacted.
Meanwhile, NVL increased by 1.9% to VND22,000 per share, taking the lead by liquidity with over 52.61 million shares transacted.
With 113 advancers and 86 decliners, the HNX-Index of the Hanoi Stock Exchange moved sideways at 256.2 points, up 0.02% day-on-day. The total trading volume exceeded 107.23 million shares, with a value of over VND1.99 trillion.
