HCMC – Petrovietnam Fertilizer & Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo, stock code DPM) will on July 16 finalize the list of shareholders entitled to a 15% cash dividend for 2024.
According to the plan, shareholders will receive VND1,500 for each share held. With over 391 million outstanding shares, the company will set aside VND586.5 billion for the dividend payment to existing shareholders.
The ex-dividend date is scheduled for July 15, with the cash dividend expected to be paid on September 3.
In 2025, PVFCCo plans to pay a 12% cash dividend and targets revenue of nearly VND12.9 trillion, with after-tax profit projected at VND320 billion.
In the first quarter alone, the company reported revenue of VND4.2 trillion, up 24.5% year-on-year. However, after-tax profit declined by 21.25% to VND210.9 billion. With this result, PVFCCo fulfilled 32.5% of its annual revenue target and 65.9% of its profit goal.
Closing the trading session today, July 8, DPM rose by 0.26% to VND38,900, with trading volume exceeding 2.5 million shares. Since the beginning of the year, DPM’s share price has gained more than 11.1%.
On the southern bourse, the VN-Index climbed 13.4 points, or 0.96% against the previous session, at 1,415.46 points, with 217 winners and 92 losers.
More than 1.22 billion shares worth VND28.3 trillion were transacted, down by 6% in volume but roughly flat in value compared to yesterday’s session. Block deal transactions accounted for 54 million shares, valued at VND1.5 trillion.
The main drivers of today’s VN-Index gain were blue-chip stocks, with 23 out of 30 in the VN30 basket advancing. Only two stocks, TPB and BVH, declined by a slight 1%.
Leading the gainers was VJC, which jumped over 5.5% to VND95,000, followed by HPG with a 4.7% rise to VND24,700.
Other notable advancers included SHB, GAS, VNM, BCM, SSI and VHM, all gaining between 2% and 3%. Market liquidity was robust, with HPG, SSI, and SHB topping the trading volume chart, with 77.4 million, 65 million, and 62.9 million shares traded, respectively.
The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) saw 97 gainers and 67 decliners, with its index rising 1.78 points, or 0.75%, to 237.68 points. Matching volume totaled over 105.5 million shares, with a value of nearly VND1.84 trillion.
