PVT eyes 2025 pre-tax profit of VND1.2 trillion

HCMC – Petrovietnam Transportation Corporation (HOSE: PVT) looks to obtain VND10.3 trillion in revenue and VND1.2 trillion in pre-tax profit in 2025.

The oil and gas transporter also aims to contribute VND380 billion to the state budget next year. In 2024, PVT reported estimated revenue of VND12 trillion and pre-tax profit of VND1.8 trillion. These figures surpassed its targets by 36% and 89%, respectively. Contributions to the state budget were VND560 billion, exceeding the goal by 58%.

The firm plans to maintain its share of the domestic transportation market while ensuring the timely delivery of crude oil and refined products for Dung Quat and Nghi Son refineries.

Closing the trading session today, January 14, PVT remained flat at VND25,950, with 766,700 shares changing hands.

The VN-Index fell 6.58 points, or 0.53%, to close at 1,229.07 on Tuesday, with 112 winners and 268 losers.

Trading volume and value dropped 28% and 30%, respectively, over the previous session, with 374.5 million shares worth VND8.53 trillion. Block deals accounted for 52.2 million shares valued at VND1.4 trillion.

Bluechip stocks weighed on the main index, with FPT losing 1.7% to VND145,100, CTG down 2% to VND36,950, and MSN sliding 2% to VND63,700. HDB and VRE recorded steeper declines of 2.5% and 3.6%, respectively.

On the positive side, BVH and PLX rose by around 2.5%, closing at VND50,600 and VND39,700.

Mid-cap and small-cap stocks made limited gains. CIG advanced 5.5% to VND8,850, with 530,000 shares traded, and CNG increased 4.2% to VND32,600 on 690,000 shares. VGC climbed 3.5% to VND49,150, with nearly two million shares traded.

NVL was the most actively traded stock, with 16.2 million shares changing hands, but it plunged 5.7% to VND8,950 VND, marking its fourth consecutive session of losses.

The HNX-Index declined 1.35 points, or 0.61%, to 218.27. Trading volume on the Hanoi Stock Exchange totaled 30.5 million shares valued at VND456.6 billion. There were 45 advancers and 88 decliners on the northern exchange.
