HCMC – Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, which links the Mekong Delta provinces of Tien Giang and Ben Tre, is on track for completion by September 2, Vietnam’s National Day, according to the project management board.
As of now, the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project, which got off the ground in March 2022, is 86% complete, over 2% ahead of schedule overall and more than 8% ahead on the main bridge section.
Following the recent completion of the main cable-stayed span, contractors are accelerating work to substantially complete the approach roads by June 30 this year.
Spanning 16.7 kilometers, the project will connect the Dong Tam intersection in Tien Giang Province to National Highway 60 in Ben Tre City. It requires a total investment of over VND6.81 trillion.
