HCMC – The Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) is installing automatic train ticketing machines at various domestic tourist destinations to make it easier for passengers to buy tickets.
Starting from August 20, VNR will implement an international payment gateway along with these ticketing machines at key tourist spots. Locations where the machines are being installed include the Post Office in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa), the Post Office in HCMC, Dalat Station (Lam Dong), the Central Tourist Support Office in Quang Nam Province, and Hoi An City.
In addition to these machines, VNR is expanding its ticket sales system through electronic wallets such as Google Pay, Samsung Pay and Apple Pay. This development allows customers, particularly international travellers, to easily purchase tickets online and pay with their bank cards.
Previously, international customers had difficulty purchasing tickets directly from VNR’s website as they cannot use their foreign-issued bank cards to make payments.
