My An Beach in Binh Dinh Province, with its pristine natural beauty, remains a lesser-known retreat for summer travelers seeking unspoiled coastal landscapes and diverse seaside activities.
Located in Phu My District, about 45 kilometers from Phu Cat Airport, My An Beach sits between My Thang and My Tho beaches and is divided into two distinct areas, known locally as the front and back beaches.
The front beach boasts an expansive stretch of soft sand, clear blue water, and gentle waves, making it an ideal spot for swimming and beach games. It also serves as a docking point for local fishing boats. Small markets are occasionally held there, offering visitors a chance to purchase fresh seafood directly from the fishermen.
The back beach stands out with its unique rock formations and untouched natural scenery. It is a popular destination for camping, photography, and coastal sightseeing. The area is particularly favored for capturing stunning sunrises and sunsets. Some local households offer basic camping services, including tent rentals, firewood, and cooking equipment.

For adventurers, the surrounding area features small islets such as Hon Nhan, Hon Tranh, and Hon Nuoc, which are accessible by canoe. These spots provide opportunities for snorkeling and coral viewing. The marine life here is abundant, including species like sea urchins, lobsters, and abalone, though visitors are advised to explore cautiously due to sharp coral and sea urchin spines.
My An is most appealing between March and September when the weather is favorable. Local photographer Vinh Nguyen highlights that the beach is particularly enchanting during full moon or new moon days when the tide recedes, revealing golden sands and submerged rock formations in shallow water.
Despite its proximity to residential areas, visitors are encouraged to help preserve its natural charm by disposing of waste properly and avoiding potential hazards such as discarded sea urchin shells.
