HCMC – Rheem Vietnam, a major manufacturer of water heating products, broke ground on its third factory in Binh Duong yesterday, February 8, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of its establishment in Vietnam.
Covering around 61,000 square meters, the facility will manufacture water heaters, solar panels and other components.
The new and other projects of Rheem in Binh Duong embrace sustainable development. The company has set a goal of phasing out its waste in landfills and implementing emission reduction programs by 2025.
Currently, Rheem Vietnam has poured over US$46 million into developing factories in Binh Duong. With its two factories in the province, Rheem Vietnam can produce some 350,000 water heaters, 480,000 solar panels and 100,000 components each year.
Rheem Vietnam was officially established in January 2013 as a manufacturing base of Rheem in Southeast Asia.
