HCMC – RMIT University and the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) have launched a new research partnership on artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor technologies.
The partnership aims to drive innovation in these critical fields and support Vietnam’s national development goals. The joint research program will focus on two main areas, including AI and its applications and the semiconductor industry.
Researchers from both universities will explore deep learning, data mining, AI applications in healthcare and weather prediction, materials science, circuit design, and the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in semiconductors.
In addition to research, the collaboration will focus on student engagement and talent development. RMIT and VNU plan to organize joint student competitions, including a multinational hackathon in November, and provide experiential learning opportunities to nurture the next generation of tech innovators.
The RMIT-VNU partnership dates back to 1995 and has expanded to include academic quality, leadership training, and entrepreneurship.
The establishment of the VNU-RMIT Innovation Hub in November 2023 has strengthened collaboration and provided a joint research and innovation platform.
