HCMC – Dong Tam Joint Stock Company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to lease 50 hectares of land in Dong Nam A Industrial Park to South Korea’s CS Wind Group for the construction of a US$200-million wind power equipment manufacturing facility.

The MOU signing ceremony took place on September 10 at Long An International Port in Can Giuoc District, Long An Province.

According to CS Wind Group, Long An Province offers significant advantages for producing and transporting oversized and heavy equipment, including offshore and onshore wind turbine towers, as well as monopiles and transition pieces used in wind farms.

CS Wind Group plans to start construction of the factory by 2026, with the goal of supplying wind power equipment to the global market.

CS Wind has previously provided over 13,000 wind towers to leading wind turbine manufacturers such as Vestas, Siemens-Gamesa, GE, and Goldwind, said Bang Seong-Hun, CEO of CS Wind Group.
