HCMC – Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (HOSE: STB) reported consolidated pre-tax profit of VND7.63 trillion in 2025, equivalent to 52% of the full-year target set by shareholders.
By end-2025, Sacombank’s total assets had climbed nearly 23% from the start of the year to around VND918 trillion. Total deposits rose 24% to more than VND837 trillion, while outstanding credit increased 16% to over VND626 trillion.
The bank’s consolidated total operating income (TOI) reached nearly VND32.1 trillion, up 12% year-on-year. Net interest income remained the main revenue source at around VND26.7 trillion, up 9%, while services, foreign exchange trading and other activities recorded positive contributions, reflecting progress in revenue diversification.
Earlier, Sacombank said pre-tax profit in the third quarter of 2025 reached VND3.66 trillion, up 32.9% year-on-year. Cumulative pre-tax profit for the first nine months amounted to VND10.99 trillion, a 36% increase from the same period last year.
Closing the trading session today January 8, STB edged up 0.19% to VND53,500, with trading volume exceeding 16.4 million shares.
On the broader market, the VN-Index fell 6.02 points, or 0.32%, to 1,855.56 points. Liquidity improved, with more than 1.26 billion shares traded worth VND40.1 trillion, up 26% in volume and nearly 22% in value from the previous session.
The VN30 basket lost over 22 points as selling pressure weighed heavily on Vingroup-related stocks. VHM and VRE both hit the floor, while VIC dropped 1.3% and VPL slid 6.4%, together shaving more than 16 points off the benchmark index.
Bank stocks were the main support for the market. VCB surged 6.9% to its ceiling price of VND63,700, contributing more than seven points to the VN-Index. BID rose 5.1%, CTG gained 2%, and SHB led market liquidity with nearly 136 million shares traded, edging up 0.6% and attracting strong foreign buying.
On the HNX, the HNX-Index dipped 0.12% to 249.1 points, with trading volume reaching 101.55 million shares valued at VND2.35 trillion.
