Saigon Times – Great Circle aids 4,800 students affected by typhoon Yagi

HCMC – The “Saigon Times – Great Circle – Helping Students Get Back to School Post Storm” program has raised VND4.54 billion in cash and non-cash donations which have been distributed to 4,804 students and 23 schools in Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces affected by typhoon Yagi.

The donations, which included VND902.6 million in cash and VND3.64 billion in kind, were given to children and schools in two rounds. The first round took place from September 21 to 23 in Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai provinces, while the second was held from October 11 to 13 in Lao Cai Province.

In the first round, donations were made to nine schools in Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai provinces. In the second round, 14 schools in Bac Ha, Bao Thang, Bat Xat, and Sa Pa districts in Lao Cai received gifts from the program.

The program presented over 3,100 rice cookers, 700 gift sets, 500 pairs of slippers, 250 blankets, and other supplies from brands such as Sharp Electronics, Phuc Hao, Electrolux, and Edena.

The “Saigon Times – Great Circle – Helping Students Get Back to School Post Storm” program was launched by the Saigon Times Group, in partnership with the 2030 Business Club, the Saigon Times Market & Real Estate Club (SMRC), and the Branding Club, to help students get back to school and support storm-affected schools in their recovery.
