The coronavirus pandemic has had a severe impact on the livelihoods of many people, especially the poor and the vulnerable. Many self-employed workers are now mired in hardship, and some are even unable to afford the cost of their daily meals or monthly rent.
The Saigon Times–Noi Vong Tay Lon program was created to help vulnerable people overcome their difficulties amid this health crisis by distributing food and other daily necessities among them.
The program has received donations amounting to VND250 million from many generous individuals and companies, such as Vinamit JSC, An Cuong Wood Working JSC and Yuanta Securities Vietnam.
