HCMC – The Secretariat of the 14th Party Central Committee has 13 members, with 10 of them being members of the new Politburo and the remaining three elected at the first plenum of the 14th Party Central Committee.
The new Party Central Committee today unanimously, with all 200 full and alternate members voting in favor, endorsed Tran Cam Tu—Politburo member, Standing member of the 13th-term Secretariat and Secretary of the Party Committee of central Party agencies—for re-election as Standing member of the Secretariat for the 14th term.
At the closing session of the 14th National Party Congress today afternoon, January 23, Tran Thanh Man—Politburo member of the 14th term and Chairman of the National Assembly—announced the results of the election of the Secretariat at the first meeting of the 14th Party Central Committee.
The Party Central Committee also elected the Politburo, General Secretary, Inspection Commission and chairperson of the Inspection Commission.
The three members of the Secretariat elected at the first meeting of the new Party Central Committee are: Vo Thi Anh Xuan, member of the Party Central Committee and vice president of Vietnam, Pham Thi Thanh Tra, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Board of the Government Party Committee, and deputy prime minister, and Nguyen Van Quang, member of the Party Central Committee and chief justice of the Supreme People’s Court.
