HCMC – Sembcorp Development and its joint venture partner, Becamex IDC (Becamex), have committed to expanding their Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) partnership with plans to develop four additional VSIPs across Vietnam.
The new projects—comprising both initial and expansion initiatives—will be located in Binh Duong Province in the south, as well as northern provinces like Haiphong, Hung Yen, and Hai Duong.
Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) for these developments have been signed with the respective local governments.
The MOUs were officially presented at a high-level event in Hanoi on March 26, witnessed by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
These agreements reaffirm Sembcorp and Becamex’s shared commitment to developing world-class industrial parks equipped with the infrastructure and resources needed to attract and support high-tech manufacturing industries.
Following the MOU presentation, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new 333-hectare VSIP Thai Binh.
Strategically located within northern Vietnam’s rapidly expanding industrial ecosystem, the park is expected to become a key satellite hub supporting a wide network of manufacturers and suppliers in high-value sectors such as electronic components, precision engineering, and renewable energy.
