Seminar on farming workforce to kick off this week

CAN THO – Tap chi Kinh Te Saigon, a weekly publication of the Saigon Times Group, will team up with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Can Tho University to hold a seminar on how to have a professional farming workforce on September 23.

In the article “Modern farming requires farmers to have knowledge” appeared in the July 14 issue of Tap chi Kinh Te Saigon, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan highlighted the importance of equipping farmers with knowledge to ensure Vietnam’s sustainable agriculture growth.

The seminar is aimed at determining types of knowledge for farmers, showing where and how to find information and knowledge and introducing policies and mechanisms to upskill farmers.

The seminar will be attended by experts from the ministry and the university, entrepreneurs, and representatives from the municipal and provincial departments of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Slated to begin at 1:30 p.m. on the day, the seminar will be live streamed on the Facebook fanpages of the Saigon Times Group and Can Tho University and on Hau Giang Television.
