SPX Express and Frasers Property Vietnam sign collaboration agreement on SPX’s largest automated sorting centre in Southeast Asia

Must read

SPX Express (SPX), a trusted regional logistics provider enabling businesses with efficient and reliable deliveries, has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Frasers Property Vietnam to develop its newest automated sorting centre in Hung Yen Province. When completed in 2027, the state-of-the-art industrial space in Frasers Property Vietnam’s Industrial Centre Yen My will be SPX’s largest automated sorting centre in Southeast Asia. Spanning 170,000 sqm, the sorting centre will boost operational efficiency, enhance service reliability, and support the expected demand growth of businesses and shoppers from the region.

Frasers Property’s built-to-suit facility will feature an advanced operational design customised to meet SPX’s demanding logistics requirements for high volume and short lead times. Set to be the first of its kind in Vietnam with cross-docking over two-storey – fully independent traffic flows on different floors enable multiple vehicles to simultaneously cross-dock at the facility’s 158 docks that connect to over 700 sorting destinations. The facility will also feature next-generation two-storey ASMs (Automated Sorting Machines) that will enable daily automated sorting and processing up to 7 million parcels, a new high for SPX in Vietnam, enabling SPX to deliver faster with more reliable service.

Construction of the facility at Industrial Centre Yen My will commence from the third quarter of 2025 with completion scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027. The sorting centre is expected to generate thousands of jobs, stimulate local economic growth, contribute to the overall development of Hung Yen Province, and improve Vietnam’s national logistics infrastructure. This follows a successful collaboration between SPX and Frasers Property, with the completion and delivery of a 106,000 sqm sorting facility at BDIP Premium Industrial Park earlier this year.

At the agreement signing ceremony, Quyen Tran, Director of SPX Express Vietnam, said, “At SPX Express, we remain deeply committed to supporting Vietnam’s digital growth by continuously improving the logistics infrastructure that serves our communities. This new facility is a meaningful step forward in our ongoing efforts to meet the evolving needs of consumers and small businesses. We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Frasers Property to bring this vision to life, and we look forward to contributing—steadily and responsibly—to the country’s journey toward a more connected and inclusive digital economy.”

Truong An Duong, General Manager of Industrial & Residential at Frasers Property Vietnam, said, “Frasers Property’s continued collaboration with SPX in Vietnam reflects our shared commitment to advancing the development of the country’s logistics infrastructure and supply chains. This modern and efficient built-to-suit facility leverages our extensive experience in delivering specialised industrial real estate solutions; it goes beyond supporting SPX’s growth ambitions to also set new benchmarks for Vietnam’s logistics landscape.”

Located in the manufacturing and logistics hub of northern Vietnam’s Hung Yen Province, Industrial Centre Yen My covers an expansive area of over 265,000 sqm. It features a diverse range of premium industrial spaces and products, flexibly designed and supported by integrated infrastructure to suit businesses of every scale. Industrial Centre Yen My offers complete build-to-suit solutions from masterplanning to design, construction, and management.
