HCMC – Nearly 17,000 people took part in Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam’s Fun Fit Fest in Hanoi City, a month-long event promoting health and social responsibility, the bank said on November 12.

Participants joined challenges across more than 15 sports, and the campaign generated over 1,200 posts on Facebook, encouraging others to participate.

On November 9, the organizing committee announced a VND200 million donation from Fun Fit Fest to the Will to Live Center, a Hanoi-based nonprofit that provides free computer and life skills courses to people with disabilities. The donation supports people with disabilities in starting businesses through the “Digital Business Startups” program.

Trinh Nhu Quynh, head of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing at Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam, said the event aimed to build a healthier community while supporting social causes. “The campaign’s success has demonstrated the impact of collective action for a good cause,” she said.

Nguyen Thi Van, co-founder and chairwoman of the Will to Live Center, thanked participants for transforming their fitness activities into charitable contributions. She said the funds will be used to provide free digital training for people with disabilities, helping them live independently and gain confidence.
