HCMC – The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) today launched the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) model at Tan Son Nhat International Airport to improve the punctuality of flights and alleviating congestion at the airport.
A-CDM provides an integrated platform that enables relevant units to share information and data before making crucial decisions.
The introduction of A-CDM marks a significant milestone following three years of research conducted by the Tan Son Nhat airport authority in collaboration with various relevant units, including VATM, Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, Vietravel Airlines, SAGS, and VIAGS.
A representative of Tan Son Nhat airport said the airpor has high daily flight volume, with passenger arrivals reaching 42 million by late 2023, 1.5 times higher than the designed capacity.
The existing technical infrastructure lacks integration, posing challenges for information sharing among different units.
