HCMC – Total tax collections and fines imposed by tax authorities have so far this year amounted to VND297 billion.
Tax authorities reported that 4,560 taxpayers, consisting of 1,274 businesses and 3,286 individuals, have violated tax obligations.
During this period, taxable revenues generated from the e-commerce sector totaled VND1.98 quadrillion, and nearly VND55 trillion in taxes was paid. Currently, 103 foreign suppliers are paying taxes in Vietnam.
However, tax collections from sales on social media platforms, including live sales, presents challenges due to the lack of specific regulations for managing taxes for these individuals. Some social media platforms have yet to establish a commercial presence in Vietnam, making it difficult to obtain necessary information.
