HCMC – Dong Thap Province is accelerating the construction of the Cao Lanh-An Huu Expressway’s first component, which is expected to be technically opened to traffic by the end of this year.

According to the Dong Thap People’s Committee, after the merger, the Cao Lanh-An Huu Expressway project is under the province’s management.

It has a total length of 27.45 kilometers and an investment cost of VND7,496 billion.

Of this, Component 1, which is 16 kilometers long and located in the former Cao Lanh District, has been about 66% completed.

The contractor is speeding up work to ensure its technical opening by the end of this year and full completion in the first quarter of 2026.

The province is urgently reallocating funds and construction materials from other places to serve the second component, which runs through the former Tien Giang Province.

According to the plan, the 11.45-kilometer section of the second component will be completed in early Q2 2026, ensuring the entire Cao Lanh-An Huu Expressway can be opened to traffic by April 30 next year.
