HCMC – Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO) has started work on the expanded Chu Lai–Truong Hai Auto-Mechanical Industrial Park in Nui Thanh Commune, Danang City, with total investment capital of nearly VND8 trillion.
The project, which covers 115 hectares and requires VND1.43 trillion for infrastructure, will operate as a new-generation industrial park, integrating automation, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence.
The expansion will produce mechanical components, smart electronics, and automation equipment. Facilities will manufacture electronic boards, smart electrical components, robots, autonomous vehicles, 3D printing systems, and next-generation CNC machines. Production of light aircraft and drones is also planned.
THACO Deputy General Director Nguyen Hoang Tue said the project will also use products from the Danang Hi-Tech Park to build an integrated ecosystem supporting high-tech and supporting industries.
Danang authorities said the project could attract more investment in mechanical, automotive, and smart electronics sectors, and boost production, exports, and logistics services in the Ky Ha–Chu Lai area.
The vice chairman of the People’s Committee of Danang has pledged to support the project by resolving procedures on land, investment, and environmental issues, and facilitating site clearance.
