HCMC – The National Power Transmission Corporation and Northern Power Projects Management Board have completed the construction of a 500 kV circuit 3 power transmission line section between Thanh Hoa and Nam Dinh provinces.
The 74.4-km power line passes through the northern provinces of Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, and Thanh Hoa. This is one of the four components of the 500 kV circuit 3 power line project, which extends from Quang Trach in Quang Binh Province to Pho Noi in Hung Yen Province.
Once fully operational, this line will alleviate the load and prevent overloads on the existing 500 kV power lines. It will also boost the capacity from other power sources in the North Central region to the electrical load center of the northern region.
