HCMC – The HCMC Department of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the Saigon Times Group, announced the 2022 edition of the HCMC Brand Award this morning, October 12, at the Saigon Times headquarters in HCMC’s District 1.
The third HCMC Brand Award is being co-held by the department and the Saigon Times Group under the direction of the HCMC government.
The annual program aims to honor businesses in HCMC that have achieved effective and stable business operations and made significant contributions to the city’s development.
The program is also expected to encourage businesses to cope with obstacles, invest in brand development and create new values to boost their competitiveness and attract more investors into the southern hub.
At the launch ceremony, the panel of judges and details about the third edition of the award were announced, in addition to information about activities to support the winners of the second HCMC Brand Award in 2021.
At a seminar held as part of the award announcement ceremony, Pham Phu Ngoc Trai, founder and chairman at GIBC, spoke about brand development by sharing his experience in doing the branding at home and overseas.
Trai, who is also one of the judges of the Brand Award program, talked about branding strategies to enhance competitiveness and promote sustainable growth of the HCMC economy and that of Vietnam.
In addition, at the launch ceremony, the Department of Industry and Trade, Hoa Sen University, and the International School of Business under the University of Economics HCMC jointly signed a deal to organize a series of seminars to honor businesses for their brand-building efforts.
The third HCMC Brand Award presentation ceremony is slated for December this year.
