HCMC – Three cable car systems in Vietnam located on Phu Quoc Island of An Giang Province, Ba Na Hills in Danang City and Vinpearl Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa Province have been listed among the 11 most spectacular cable car experiences in Asia by the U.S.-based travel magazine Travel + Leisure.
Travel + Leisure said the cable car systems were selected based on criteria including distinctive natural landscapes, the complexity of engineering and construction and the panoramic viewing experience they offer visitors.
Among the three Vietnamese cable car systems, the nearly-eight-kilometer Hon Thom cable car system on Phu Quoc stands out and earlier set a Guinness World Record as the world’s longest three-rope sea-crossing system.
The other two systems are Ba Na Hills in Danang, which links the foot and the peak of the Chua Mountain at an elevation of nearly 1,500 meters, and Vinpearl in Nha Trang, a sea-crossing line connecting the mainland with the Vinpearl Nha Trang Resort and Spa and offering panoramic views of Nha Trang Bay from above.
