HCMC – A factory floor collapse at an industrial park in Binh Duong Province left three construction workers dead on April 17, reported the local media.
The incident happened at around 7 a.m. at a facility operated by Minh An Vina Company in Dat Cuoc Industrial Park, Bac Tan Uyen District. The workers were carrying out renovation work at the time.
According to the provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Division (PC07), the five workers were reinforcing the structure and dismantling temporary steel floor supports when the concrete slab above them suddenly gave way.
Two of the workers managed to escape but the other three, identified as Tran Quoc Thanh, Trinh Van Quoc, and Tran Van Loi, were trapped under the collapse debris.
Local police have cordoned off the site and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
