Tien Giang breaks ground on phase two of expressway

HCMC – Tien Giang Province today, August 12, began work on the second phase of the An Huu–Cao Lanh Expressway.

The 11.4-kilometer stretch will connect My Hiep Commune in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap with the Trung Luong–My Thuan Expressway, facilitating connectivity between the Mekong Delta provinces.

The project, overseen by the People’s Committee of Tien Giang Province, costs VND3.86 trillion.

The expressway section spans 7.6 kilometers in Tien Giang and 3.8 kilometers in Dong Thap. Over 83 hectares of land is cleared for the project, affecting 665 households in the two provinces.

Truong Son Construction Corporation under the Ministry of Defense leads a consortium awarded the construction contract. The project is expected to be completed in 695 days.
