HCMC – Vietnam’s State President To Lam presided over a welcome ceremony in honor of President of Timor-Leste José Ramos-Horta at the Presidential Palace this morning, August 1, said local media reports.
President of Timor-Leste José Ramos-Horta is in Vietnam for a state visit from July 31 to August 3, at the invitation of President To Lam.
After the welcome ceremony, the two leaders would hold talks over bilateral cooperation and witness the signing of cooperation documents.
This is the second visit of President José Ramos-Horta to Vietnam in his capacity as head of state of Timor-Leste.
Vietnam and Timor-Leste established diplomatic relations on July 28, 2002. President José Ramos-Horta’s visit to Vietnam will be a chance for both sides to continue discussing measures to boost cooperation and deepen bilateral relations.
