TMP to pay 38% cash dividend for 2023

HCMC – Thac Mo Hydro Power JSC, whose TMP shares are traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, has announced that it will advance a 38.83% cash dividend for the third installment in 2023.

That means each shareholder will receive VND3,883 for each share held.

The record date to finalize the shareholder list is January 22, 2024, and the payment date is March 29, 2024.

Thac Mo Hydro Power in early November and December consecutively paid dividends for the first and second installments in 2023, at 25% and 26% in cash, respectively.

Therefore, the total dividend ratio for 2023 is 89.93%, almost three times higher than the plan approved at the previous annual general meeting.

Closing the trading session today, December 28, TMP surged by 3.03% to VND68,000, with more than 4,000 shares transacted.

The Hochiminh Stock Exchange today saw advancers outnumbering decliners by 312 to 163. As a result, the benchmark VN-Index added 6.94 points, or 0.62%, day-on-day at 1,128.93 points.

There were nearly 717 million shares worth over VND15.5 trillion transacted on bourse, falling by 7% in volume and 20% in value against yesterday’s session. Block deals contributed nearly VND2.5 trillion to the overall value, with more than 108.4 million shares transacted.

SSB stole the spotlight on the southern bourse as it surged by nearly 4.4% to VND23,650, with more than 1.3 million shares changing hands.

Meanwhile, VHM continued to rise by 4.3% to reach VND43,700, contributing two points to the VN-Index. It also recorded a trading volume of over 13.1 million shares today, the highest level in over a month.

HAG took the lead by liquidity with over 47.1 million shares traded. Closing the trading session, it declined by 1.1% to VND13,700.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index added 0.75 points, or 0.33%, day-on-day, closing at 231.35 points, with 94 winners and 64 losers. The total trading volume reached more than 55.9 million units, with a value of VND1,031 billion.
