HCMC – The Ministry of Transport has proposed toll fees for state-funded expressways with four lanes ranging from VND1,300 to VND5,200 per kilometer, depending on vehicle types.
The details are outlined in a draft Government decree that the Ministry of Transport is currently seeking feedback on from various ministries and agencies.
According to the draft, fees on expressways meeting all requirements for toll collection starts from VND1,300 per kilometer. For expressways that do not fully meet the requirements stipulated in the Road Traffic Law, a lower rate of VND900 per kilometer will apply.
The toll collection will only begin once the construction project has satisfied all standards and technical specifications required for expressways.
With the proposed toll fees, the ministry expects to collect VND2,850 billion annually for the State budget from toll collection on 10 operational expressways.
