HCMC – The Lunar New Year holiday, known as Tet, has seen a surge in domestic and international travels, indicating a positive trend for Vietnam’s tourism sector.
Popular tourist destinations like HCMC, Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Danang, Lam Dong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, and Kien Giang have attracted huge numbers of visitors.
Package tours lasting from four to six days were particularly popular among Tet revelers.
Local news reports said Vietnamese are more inclined to travel with family and friends.
