HCMC – The Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) will start selling train tickets from November 15 for travel during the upcoming Lunar New Year or Tet.
Passengers can buy tickets at local train stations or authorized ticket agents of VNR, through the Ticket Hotline and the Customer Hotline at 19000109 – 19001520, or book online on the websites dsvn.vn, vetauonline.vn and vetau.com.vn or mobile apps such as Momo, Viettelpay, VNpay and Vimo.
VNR would operate trains for the Tet holiday from January 20 to February 13 in three phases: the first phase (before Tet) from January 20 to 29, the second phase from January 30 to February 3, and the final phase (after Tet) from February 4 to 13.
Passengers will get a 10% discount if they buy tickets during the first 10 days they go on sale. Passengers who book tickets before January 1 will also get a 30% discount in value-added taxes.
Trains operating during the Tet holiday will adopt anti-Covid measures to ensure the safety of passengers. Besides this, VNR will run other trains to meet the travel demands of passengers during the holiday.
