Tran Cam Tu picked as Party’s permanent secretary

HCMC – The Politburo has assigned Tran Cam Tu as the permanent member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) Secretariat of the 13th tenure, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

Party General Secretary To Lam today, October 25, presented the Politburo’s decision appointing Tran Cam Tu — who is a Politburo member, member of the Secretariat, and head of the Inspection Commission of the PCC — as permanent member of the Secretariat.

Tu succeeded Luong Cuong, who was elected as State President by the National Assembly on October 21.

Party chief To Lam emphasized that the Politburo reached a high consensus in approving the assignment of Tu to the new role.

Speaking at the ceremony, the new permanent member of the Secretariat expressed gratitude to Party General Secretary To Lam, the Politburo, and the Secretariat for entrusting him with this important responsibility for the Party.

He noted that this assignment reflects recognition, encouragement, and the expectation placed upon him to continue striving, training, and making every effort to fulfill his duties.

He affirmed his commitment to upholding a strong sense of responsibility and political integrity, inheriting and building upon the experience of his predecessors to meet the increasing demands of the Party and the people.
