The northern mountainous region of Vietnam offers a beautiful harmony between human life and wild nature. A journey from the vibrant terraced rice fields of Suoi Lin in the northwestern province of Son La to the majestic, misty Ban Giang Waterfall in the northeastern province of Cao Bang can be an ideal suggestion for late autumn wanderers.

At Suoi Lin, visitors will be captivated by the terraced rice fields that stretch endlessly across the hillsides, creating a scene that is both poetic and majestic. A standout feature is the road decorated with Vietnamese national flags. This spot is also perfect for hunting clouds at dawn and capturing unforgettable moments.

Continuing the journey, Ban Giang Waterfall welcomes visitors with the sound of water cascading down a high cliff face, creating a stunning white mist curtain. The waterfall preserves its pristine, untouched beauty with a clear lake at its base. The charm of Ban Giang comes not from human design but from the awe-inspiring strength of the mountains, providing a peaceful place to fully connect with nature.

Spanning over 23 hectares, the terraced rice fields in Suoi Lin are a vibrant, verdant green, stretching across the hillsides to create a beautiful, natural painting
While the terraced fields of Suoi Lin do not have the dramatic elevation changes of Mu Cang Chai or Hoang Su Phu, their harmonious and poetic beauty is still grand and awe-inspiring
During this time, the villagers have united to hang Vietnamese national flags for Vietnam’s National Day, creating a beautiful and meaningful scene that has attracted many young visitors
From above, Suoi Lin appears like a painted canvas, with lush green rice fields and a winding road dotted with red flags
The best times for viewing and photography are from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., when the soft sunlight perfectly blends the colors of the sky and the rice fields

In addition to admiring the terraced fields, visitors can also experience cloud hunting on early mornings in Suoi Lin
Located just 20 kilometers from downtown Moc Chau, Suoi Lin is easily accessible by both car and motorbike
From downtown Cao Bang, visitors can reach Ban Giang Waterfall by heading toward Truong Ha Commune on Provincial Road 203, a journey of about 40 kilometers
The path to the waterfall leads through small roads, residential areas, and fields. The water cascades down a cliff face, preserving its pristine, natural beauty.
The sound of the waterfall blends with the mountain air and cool atmosphere, creating a peaceful and serene scene. This is a favorite spot for both locals and tourists to stop and rest
Besides being a great place to visit, the area around the waterfall is also a popular spot for weekend picnics
