HCMC – A tropical depression is forecast to develop in the East Sea between June 23 and 25, potentially affecting northern Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin.
The National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control has advised coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Kien Giang to take precautionary measures.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicted the formation of a low-pressure area in the northern and central parts of the East Sea in the coming days. This low-pressure area is likely to intensify into a tropical depression or possibly a tropical storm.
